Pool Pebble Colours

Pebble lined pools have been used as a finish for concrete pools in Australia for roughly 25 years. You may remember old concrete pools having large aggregate which was very rough and felt like road base under foot. Thankfully times have moved on and we now utilise a smaller 1-2mm pebble which very smooth to touch and is kind on your feet after being in the pool for hours. With the addition of coloured glass beads, you can completely change the look of the pool including the water colour. However, there is more to consider when selecting the colour of the pool.

While Pebble finishes come in different glass bead colours to change the colour, external factors can also impact the colour of the pool once filled. Depending on the pebble you choose, the water colour will either be blue or green. Reflections from the surrounds of the pool will determine the shade of blue or green and the colour of the pool will slightly change as the sun moves across the sky.
